365-Night Trial

Every Sleep Cult mattress includes a 365-night sleep trial, starting on the date of delivery.

A few minutes in a showroom does not tell you much. Sleep on it at home, in real life, and decide with actual time.

There is no mandatory minimum trial period before requesting a return, though we encourage giving your body time to adjust when it makes sense.

Return Philosophy

No maze. No endless back-and-forth.

If your return is valid under policy, we move it forward clearly and efficiently.

The goal is not to "win" the return. The goal is to protect trust and keep the process simple.

Return Eligibility

Eligible mattress returns can be requested within the 365-night trial period.

To qualify, the mattress should be in reasonably clean, donatable condition. This standard is meant to protect the integrity of the return process, not create unnecessary friction.

Obvious edge cases, such as extreme damage, heavy staining, or unsanitary condition, may affect eligibility.

The sleep trial applies only to mattresses purchased directly from Sleep Cult.

How to Start a Return

Contact us with your order number and the email used at checkout.

We will ask for the main reason the mattress is not working for you. That helps us understand whether there is a simple fix worth offering first, or whether we should move directly into the return process.

Order number
Email used at checkout
Reason for return
Current pickup address, if different from delivery address

If the Mattress Feels Too Firm

If the mattress feels a bit too firm, we may offer a topper as the simplest first fix.

This is optional. If you do not want to try it, or it does not solve the issue, we will keep the process moving.

Exchanges

One mattress exchange may be offered on a case-by-case basis for a clear firmness mismatch.

Exchanges are not unlimited or automatic. They are meant to solve legitimate comfort or fit issues without making the process complicated.

Return Pickup

For mattress returns, you are not expected to re-box the mattress.

Sleep Cult will coordinate the pickup, donation, return partner, or another approved return method where available. The exact return path may depend on your location and product condition.

In some cases, simple photos may be requested if a charity or pickup partner needs confirmation that the mattress is in donatable condition.

We do not ask for photos by default unless they are operationally needed.

Refund Timing

Refunds are issued back to the original payment method after return pickup, donation confirmation, or approved return completion is confirmed.

Standard refund timing is instant upon pickup, plus any processing time required by your bank or payment provider.

  • Trial starts on delivery date.
  • No mandatory minimum nights.
  • One 365-night trial per original mattress purchase.
  • Mattress must be clean and sanitary.
  • No stains, burns, cuts, tears, mold, infestation, excessive odors or intentional damage.
  • Original packaging is not required.
  • Sleep Cult covers approved return pickup/disposal/donation costs.
  • Customer may be asked to provide photos to verify condition.
  • Refund is issued once pickup/donation/removal is confirmed.
  • Refund goes to original payment method.
  • Original trial does not restart following a firmness exchange.
