The Mattress

How does the Sleep Cult mattress feel?

The Sleep Cult mattress is built for serious comfort and real support. It comes in two firmness options:

Medium-Firm — our most balanced feel. Built for all-position sleepers who want support without the mattress feeling too hard. This is the safest choice for most people.

Plush — best for side sleepers, pressure relief lovers, and anyone who wants a softer, more cushioned feel.

The goal is not a mattress that feels impressive for five showroom minutes. The goal is a mattress that holds you properly, night after night.

Which firmness should I choose?

Most people should start with Medium-Firm.

Choose Medium-Firm if you sleep on your back, stomach, switch positions, share the bed, or want the most balanced blend of support and comfort.

Choose Plush if you sleep mostly on your side, want more pressure relief, or prefer a softer, more cushioned feel.

Still unsure? Medium-Firm is usually the safest choice.

Who is the Sleep Cult mattress for?

Sleep Cult is for people who are done with mediocre sleep. It is built for people who want a premium mattress with strong support, lasting comfort, and a darker, sharper brand that does not sound like every other sleep company.

It is a strong fit for:

  • Back, side, stomach, and combination sleepers
  • Couples
  • People who want pressure relief or better support
  • People tired of waking up sore
  • People who want a mattress that feels like a real upgrade

Bad sleep has had enough time. We are not continuing the relationship.

Is the mattress good for side sleepers?

Yes. Side sleepers usually need more pressure relief around the shoulders and hips. For most side sleepers, Medium-Firm is a good balanced choice. If you prefer a softer, more cushioned feel, Plush may be the better fit.

Is the mattress good for back sleepers?

Yes. Back sleepers usually need a mattress that supports the spine without letting the hips sink too much. For most back sleepers, Medium-Firm is the best fit.

Is the mattress good for stomach sleepers?

Yes. Stomach sleepers usually need stronger support to help prevent the midsection from sinking too deeply. For most stomach sleepers, Medium-Firm is the best choice. If you strongly prefer a softer feel, Plush may feel more cushioned, but Medium-Firm will usually be the better support choice.

Is the mattress good for combination sleepers?

Yes. Combination sleepers usually do best with a mattress that balances comfort, support, and ease of movement. For most combination sleepers, Medium-Firm is the best choice because it works across the widest range of sleeping positions.

Will I sink into the mattress?

That depends on the firmness you choose. Medium-Firm gives you balanced support with some cushioning. Plush gives you more softness and pressure relief. Sleep Cult is designed to feel comfortable without letting you feel swallowed by the bed.

Does the mattress sleep cool?

Yes, the mattress is designed to help prevent that trapped, overheated feeling that can ruin sleep.

No mattress can control your entire sleep environment, but materials, airflow, bedding, room temperature, and your body heat all play a role. Sleep Cult is built with comfort and performance in mind so your bed does not feel like a heat trap.

Will I feel my partner move?

Sleep Cult is designed to reduce motion transfer, so you are less likely to feel every toss, turn, and midnight repositioning from the person beside you.

No mattress can make another human completely disappear, but a well-built hybrid mattress can help keep movement from travelling across the bed.

Is the mattress good for couples?

Yes. The mattress is a strong choice for couples because it is designed to balance support, comfort, and motion control. If you and your partner have different preferences, Medium-Firm is usually the best compromise.

Does the mattress have edge support?

Yes. The mattress is designed to feel supportive across the usable sleep surface, including near the edges. This matters if you sleep close to the edge, sit on the side of the bed, or share the mattress.

What is the mattress made from?

The Sleep Cult mattress is built with premium comfort layers and supportive construction designed to create pressure relief, stability, and long-term comfort.

The exact material breakdown is listed on the product page. The simple version: it is built to support your body properly, feel comfortable night after night, and avoid the collapsing, sagging feeling that makes bad mattresses slowly ruin your life.

Is this a foam mattress or a hybrid mattress?

Sleep Cult is positioned as a premium hybrid mattress. That means it combines comfort materials with a supportive coil system to create a balance of pressure relief, structure, airflow, and durability.

Is the mattress made in Canada?

Yes. Sleep Cult is launching as a Canadian mattress brand with Canadian manufacturing through our supplier. That means your mattress is built closer to home, shipped within Canada, and supported by a Canadian business.

Is there an off-gassing smell?

Some new mattresses may have a mild “new mattress” smell after being unboxed. This is normal and should fade with airflow. We recommend unboxing your mattress in a well-ventilated room and giving it time to fully expand before sleeping on it.

How long does the mattress take to expand?

Most mattresses begin expanding quickly after unboxing, but it can take up to 24–48 hours to fully expand and settle into its intended shape. You can usually sleep on it sooner, but giving it time helps it fully recover from compression.

Can I sleep on it the first night?

Yes, in most cases you can sleep on the mattress the first night after unboxing. For the best experience, give it as much time as possible to expand before bedtime.

Does the mattress need to be flipped?

No. The Sleep Cult mattress is designed as a one-sided mattress and does not need to be flipped. You can rotate it occasionally to promote even wear.

How often should I rotate the mattress?

We recommend rotating the mattress every few months, especially during the first year. This helps the mattress break in evenly and supports long-term comfort.

What bed frame or foundation should I use?

Use a supportive platform bed, foundation, adjustable base if compatible, or a slatted base with proper center support. A weak or unsupportive base can affect how the mattress feels and performs. In some cases, improper support may affect warranty coverage.

Can I use the mattress on the floor?

A proper bed frame or foundation is recommended. Using a mattress directly on the floor can reduce airflow and may increase the risk of moisture buildup. If you choose to use it on the floor temporarily, make sure the space is clean, dry, and well ventilated.

Can I use it with an adjustable base?

If your adjustable base is compatible with hybrid mattresses, the Sleep Cult mattress should generally work with it. Make sure your base provides proper support and is designed for use with this type of mattress.

Ordering

Where can I buy Sleep Cult?

Sleep Cult mattresses are sold directly through our website. Buying direct means you get the official sleep trial, warranty, support, and the full Sleep Cult experience.

Can I try the mattress before buying?

Sleep Cult is built around a 365-night trial, so you can try the mattress at home in real life. A few minutes in a showroom does not tell you much. Sleeping on it night after night does.

Do you have a showroom?

Sleep Cult may offer appointment-based showroom or call options depending on availability. If a showroom visit or product guidance call is available, you will be able to book it through the website.

Can I book a call before buying?

Yes. If you need help choosing firmness or deciding whether Sleep Cult is right for you, you can book a call if appointments are available. We do not accept random unscheduled calls, because chaos is not a customer experience strategy. Booked calls help us give better guidance.

What sizes are available?

Sleep Cult offers standard mattress sizes, including common Canadian mattress sizes. Available sizes are shown directly on the product page.

Do prices include shipping?

Standard shipping is free across Canadian provinces. Additional fees may apply for remote areas, special delivery zones, or territories where shipping is unusually expensive or operationally difficult.

Do you offer financing?

Financing availability will depend on the payment options active at checkout. If financing is available, you will see it during checkout before completing your purchase.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Contact us as soon as possible. If your order has not entered processing or shipped, we will do our best to update it. Once the order is already in production or on the way, changes may not be possible.

Can I cancel my order?

You can request cancellation before the order has shipped. Because mattresses may enter production quickly, cancellation is not guaranteed once processing has started. If the mattress has already shipped, the order falls under the return policy instead.

Shipping & Delivery

Where do you ship?

Sleep Cult ships across Canadian provinces. Some remote regions, special delivery zones, or territories may have additional fees or may not be available at launch.

Is shipping free?

Yes. Standard shipping is free across Canadian provinces. Remote areas, special delivery zones, or territories may be excluded or may require an additional fee.

How long does shipping take?

At launch, mattresses are made to order. Production is expected to take approximately 24–48 hours after the order is received by the manufacturer, subject to final setup and operating conditions. Once shipped, transit time depends on your location and carrier timelines. You will receive tracking once your mattress ships.

Why is my mattress made to order?

Made-to-order production helps keep the process lean and controlled at launch. Instead of sitting around in storage, your mattress is produced after your order is placed, then packed and shipped.

Which carrier do you use?

At launch, Sleep Cult’s primary carrier is expected to be Canpar. Carrier options may change depending on location, operational needs, or future shipping improvements.

Will I get tracking?

Yes. Once your mattress ships, tracking will be sent to you. You should not have to chase us to find out where your order is. If something meaningful changes, we will communicate as clearly and proactively as possible.

What happens if my tracking has not updated?

Sometimes tracking can pause while a shipment is moving through the carrier network. If tracking has not updated for a meaningful amount of time, contact us and we will look into it. If we spot an issue first, we will work to update you before you have to ask.

What if my order is delayed?

Delays can happen because of carrier issues, weather, remote delivery areas, production timing, or operational issues. If there is a meaningful delay, we will communicate clearly and help push for an update. You should not be left guessing.

Is delivery guaranteed by a specific date?

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees. We always aim to be clear and realistic, but carriers, weather, remote regions, and operational issues can affect timing.

How is the mattress delivered?

At launch, mattresses are delivered by standard parcel delivery. The mattress arrives compressed and boxed. You may need to bring the box inside yourself.

Is white glove delivery available?

Not at launch. White glove delivery, setup, and mattress removal may be added later as paid options if operationally viable.

Will the carrier bring the mattress into my bedroom?

At launch, delivery is standard parcel delivery. This usually means the mattress is delivered to your shipping address, not fully set up inside your bedroom. Apartment and building delivery rules may depend on the carrier and your building setup.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

Signature requirements may depend on the carrier and delivery location. Your tracking information should provide the most accurate delivery details once the order ships.

What if my box arrives damaged?

A damaged outer box does not automatically mean the mattress is damaged. The mattress is heavily protected inside the packaging. Open the box, inspect the mattress itself, and contact us if you see actual damage or defects. If the mattress is fine but the delivery experience was rough, we can still review the situation and make it right where appropriate.

What if the mattress itself arrives damaged?

Contact us promptly and send photos of the issue. We will review the damage and determine the best resolution, which may include a replacement, partial refund, or another fair solution.

What if tracking says delivered but I cannot find it?

Check around your property, lobby, mailroom, concierge, garage, building entrance, or with household members first. Then contact us. We will review the tracking details and help investigate with the carrier if needed.

Setup & Unboxing

How do I unbox the mattress?

Move the box to your room first if possible. Then carefully remove the mattress from the box, place it on your foundation, remove the plastic, and allow it to expand. Avoid using sharp blades directly against the mattress. The mattress is not interested in being sacrificed.

How heavy is the mattress?

Mattress weight depends on the size. Larger sizes can be heavy, so having two people move and unbox the mattress is recommended.

Can one person move the mattress box?

For smaller sizes, maybe. For queen, king, or larger sizes, two people are strongly recommended. The box may be compact, but it can still be heavy.

How long should I wait before putting sheets on?

You can put sheets on once the mattress has expanded enough to lie flat. For best results, let the mattress breathe and expand as much as possible before making the bed.

Do I need a mattress protector?

Yes, we strongly recommend using a mattress protector. It helps protect against spills, stains, and moisture. It also helps keep the mattress in cleaner condition, which matters for long-term care, trial eligibility, and warranty protection.

Trial, Returns & Exchanges

Do you offer a sleep trial?

Yes. Every Sleep Cult mattress comes with a 365-night sleep trial beginning on the date of delivery. A mattress needs real nights, not showroom minutes.

When does the 365-night trial start?

The trial begins on the date your mattress is delivered.

Is there a mandatory break-in period?

No. There is no mandatory minimum trial period before requesting a return. That said, we do recommend giving your body time to adjust when possible. A new mattress can feel different at first, especially if your old one was worn out or unsupportive.

How long should I try the mattress before deciding?

We recommend giving it some time if you can, because your body may need to adjust. But if it is clearly not working for you, contact us. We will help you figure out the best next step without turning the process into a maze.

How do returns work?

Eligible mattress returns can be requested within the 365-night trial period. If approved, Sleep Cult will help coordinate the return, pickup, donation, or removal process where possible. Refunds are issued after return completion is confirmed. The goal is simple: clear, fair, low-friction.

Do I need to re-box the mattress for a return?

No. For mattress returns, customers are not expected to re-box the mattress. We will guide you through the return or pickup process.

What condition does the mattress need to be in for a return?

The mattress should be in reasonably clean, donatable condition. That means no major stains, extreme damage, unsanitary condition, or serious misuse. This standard exists to keep the return process fair and workable.

Do I need to send photos for a return?

Not by default. Photos may only be required if a charity or pickup partner needs confirmation that the mattress is in donatable condition, or if there is an unusual condition issue. We do not believe in creating unnecessary back-and-forth just to make returns feel harder.

What happens to returned mattresses?

Depending on location and condition, returned mattresses may be donated, picked up by a return partner, or handled through another approved local solution. Sleep Cult will guide the process.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds are issued after return pickup, donation, or approved return completion is confirmed. After we issue the refund, your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process it.

Do you offer exchanges?

One mattress exchange may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Exchanges are designed for legitimate firmness or fit issues. They are not unlimited or automatic.

What if my mattress feels too firm?

Contact us. If the mattress feels slightly too firm, the simplest solution may be a topper. If that makes sense for your situation, we may offer that as an option first. If it is not the right fix, we will help you move through the next step.

What if my mattress feels too soft?

A topper usually will not solve a mattress that feels too soft. If you chose the wrong firmness, we may review whether a one-time exchange makes sense. If not, we can help with the return process if you are within the trial.

What if I chose the wrong firmness?

Contact us and tell us what feels off. If it sounds like a legitimate firmness mismatch, we can review whether an exchange makes sense. If not, we will help you understand your options under the trial.

Can I return the mattress just because I changed my mind?

If you are within the 365-night trial and the mattress is eligible under the return policy, yes. We may ask for the main reason so we can improve, but the goal is not to argue you into keeping something that is not right for you.

Are accessories returnable?

Accessory return rules may differ from mattress return rules. Check the specific product page or contact us for the current policy on pillows, protectors, bedding, or other accessories.

Warranty

Does the mattress come with a warranty?

Yes. Sleep Cult mattresses include a 15-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and workmanship issues.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty is designed to cover manufacturing defects and workmanship issues. Typical covered issues may include abnormal body impressions beyond the stated threshold, foam splitting or cracking under normal use, manufacturing defects in the cover, or defects caused by materials or workmanship.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not typically cover normal softening over time, comfort preference, damage caused by misuse, burns, cuts, stains, improper care, improper foundation support, or claims made by anyone other than the original purchaser.

Is normal softening covered?

No. Normal softening over time is expected with mattress use and is not the same as a manufacturing defect.

Are comfort preferences covered under warranty?

No. Comfort preference is handled through the sleep trial, not the warranty. The warranty is for defects, not for changing firmness preferences after the trial period.

Can stains affect my warranty?

Yes. Stains or unsanitary conditions may affect warranty eligibility. Use a mattress protector. Future you will not regret it.

Can the wrong foundation void my warranty?

Improper support may affect mattress performance and may impact warranty coverage. Use a supportive base, platform, foundation, or slatted frame with proper center support.

How do I start a warranty claim?

Contact Sleep Cult with your order information and photos of the issue. We will review the claim and let you know the clearest next step.

Care & Maintenance

How do I take care of the mattress?

Use a supportive foundation, rotate the mattress occasionally, use a mattress protector, and keep it clean and dry. Do not fold, bend, soak, burn, cut, or otherwise mistreat the mattress. It is a sleep product, not a stress test.

Can I clean the mattress?

Spot clean only. Use a mild cleaner and avoid soaking the mattress. Let the area fully dry before covering it again.

Can I remove and wash the cover?

Unless the product page specifically says the cover is removable and washable, do not remove it. Use a mattress protector to keep the surface clean.

Should I use a box spring?

A box spring may work only if it provides proper support and is in good condition. Old, weak, or sagging box springs can affect how the mattress feels and performs. A supportive platform or foundation is usually a better choice.

Can pets sleep on the mattress?

Yes, but protect the mattress. Pets can increase the risk of stains, tears, odor, and damage. A mattress protector is strongly recommended.

Can kids use the mattress?

Yes, Sleep Cult can be used by kids and teens if the size and firmness are appropriate. For younger children, parents should choose firmness and setup based on their child’s needs and safety requirements.

Product Fit & Comfort

Will this mattress help with back pain?

A supportive mattress can help improve sleep comfort and alignment, but we cannot guarantee it will fix back pain. Back pain can come from many causes, including posture, injury, health conditions, sleep position, and your previous mattress. If you have ongoing or serious pain, speak with a healthcare professional. For mattress fit, back sleepers usually do well with Medium-Firm.

Will this mattress help with hip or shoulder pressure?

The right firmness can help reduce pressure points. Side sleepers who feel pressure around the shoulders or hips may prefer Medium-Firm or Plush, depending on how much cushioning they want.

What if I am between the two firmness options?

Choose based on your sleep position and what you usually dislike more.

  • If you hate feeling stuck or sinking too much, choose Medium-Firm.
  • If you hate pressure on your shoulders or hips, choose Plush.
  • If you want the safest middle ground, choose Medium-Firm.
What firmness is best for heavier sleepers?

Many heavier sleepers prefer Medium-Firm because stronger support can help prevent excessive sinking. Exact fit depends on sleep position and personal preference.

What firmness is best for lighter sleepers?

Lighter sleepers may experience mattresses as firmer than expected because they do not sink in as much. Side sleepers may prefer Plush or Medium-Firm. Back, stomach, and combination sleepers may prefer Medium-Firm.

What firmness is best if I sleep hot?

Firmness is not the only factor in sleeping cool, but people who sink less deeply may feel less surrounded by material. Medium-Firm may feel cooler for some sleepers than a very plush feel. Room temperature, sheets, duvet, mattress protector, and sleepwear also matter.

What if my partner and I want different firmness levels?

Medium-Firm is usually the best compromise for couples. It balances support, comfort, and versatility across different sleeping positions.

Brand & Company

What is Sleep Cult?

Sleep Cult is a premium sleep brand built for people who are done with mediocre sleep and bland mattress companies. The product is serious. The brand is darker, sharper, and more memorable than the usual beige mattress world. Mediocre sleep ends here.

Is Sleep Cult actually a cult?

No. It is a brand name. A movement against bad sleep. A little dramatic, on purpose. No robes required.

Why is the brand so dark?

Because sleep matters more than the industry makes it feel. Most mattress brands talk like sleep is a spa day. Sleep Cult treats sleep like a ritual, a reset, and a serious part of your life. The look is darker. The product is premium. The mission is simple: end bad sleep.

How is Sleep Cult different from other mattress brands?

Most mattress brands sound the same. Sleep Cult combines premium mattress construction with a brand people can actually feel something about. It is built to be clear, bold, high-performance, and culturally sharper than the usual mattress aisle. Not another mattress company. That is the point.

Is Sleep Cult a Canadian brand?

Yes. Sleep Cult is launching in Canada with a focus on serving Canadian customers first.

Who makes the mattress?

Sleep Cult works with a Canadian mattress manufacturing partner for launch production. The mattress is made to order, packed, and shipped through the launch fulfillment process.

Is Sleep Cult only available in Canada?

At launch, Sleep Cult is focused on Canada. Future expansion may include other markets.

Support

How do I contact Sleep Cult?

Support replies are handled during business hours, Monday to Friday. Evening and weekend inquiries are reviewed on the next business day.

How fast do you reply?

Do you offer phone support?

Booked calls may be available for pre-purchase guidance or complex situations. Unscheduled calls are not accepted, because booked calls help us stay organized and give better support.

What should I include when contacting support?

Include your order number, the email used at checkout, a clear description of the issue, and photos if the issue involves damage or a product concern. The cleaner the details, the faster we can sort it out.

What if I am upset about my order?

Contact us directly. We will review what happened and give you a clear next step. Our goal is to solve issues quickly, communicate clearly, and make sure you do not feel ignored or stuck chasing answers.
